A €48 order, minus €6 shipping
At an earn rate of 1 point per euro, a €48 order with €6 shipping earns 42 points, not 48. If that order is later refunded, the 42 points are revoked and a Points Revoked event fires in Klaviyo, so the customer can be told about the adjustment before they notice the balance changed and write in about it. What is the points calculation based on?
Order total minus shipping. A customer earning points on a heavy or long-distance order is not rewarded extra for what the carrier charged; the earn rate applies to what they actually spent on goods.
What happens to points when an order is refunded?
The points that order earned are revoked automatically. The revoke is recorded as a new entry in the ledger; the original earning entry is never deleted, so the full history stays intact and auditable.
Can rewards be restricted, or do they apply to anything in the store?
Rewards generate real WooCommerce coupons with seven restriction types, the same restriction system WooCommerce itself uses for coupons. That means a reward can be scoped the way any other store coupon can be.
Is there a signup bonus?
It is configurable. You can award a fixed number of points the moment someone joins the program, or leave it off if you would rather points start accruing only on purchase.
